Hij zei dat hij de “gemanipuleerde-apparatuurmethode” had “uitgevonden” in de periode van 2002 tot 2004 en dat hij die al had gebruikt tijdens de “Tweede Libanonoorlog” in 2006, schrijft Chris Menahan.

Ik zei na de pieper- en portofoonaanvallen in Libanon dat “alle goederen die met Israël in verband staan nu moeten worden beschouwd als voorzien van explosieven, totdat het tegendeel is bewezen.”
Voor een land dat zo geobsedeerd is door het aannemen van wetten in Amerika en in het hele Westen om betrokkenheid bij BDS te verbieden, is de beslissing om consumentengoederen van explosieven te voorzien en vervolgens op te scheppen over het hebben van geboobytrapte en gemanipuleerde apparatuur over de hele wereld werkelijk opmerkelijk.
Dit vormt duidelijk een wereldwijde veiligheidsdreiging.
Volgens de New York Times waren de piepers het resultaat van een schimmige deal tussen een dekmantelbedrijf van de Mossad in Hongarije en het Taiwanese bedrijf Gold Apollo.
Ik meldde gisteren dat AIPAC net zijn eerste lobbymissie naar Taiwan had gestuurd, en dat de Taiwanese president Lai Ching-te een toespraak hield waarin hij hun defensiesamenwerking met Israël en de VS prees.
“Vooruitkijkend zal Taiwan blijven investeren in het leger,” zei Ching-te. “Dit omvat het opbouwen van capaciteit in de binnenlandse defensie-industrie en het aanschaffen van noodzakelijke wapens en technologie uit andere landen om de algehele gevechtscapaciteit te versterken. We hopen dat AIPAC Taiwan in deze kwestie nog meer steun en hulp zal bieden.”
Taiwan heeft nooit een bevredigend antwoord gegeven op de vraag wat de rol van Gold Apollo was in die schimmige deal, en als je nu terugkijkt, moet je je afvragen of ze er niet in mee zaten.
